Jackson County Historical Society has tremendous resources available for researching your family history for the area. Below are a few of the resources available for you to research when visiting our location.  We also offer limited genealogical research services for $10 per hour.

Birth certificates up to 1925 (JCHS members may access an online index of early birth records prior to 1916, including names and dates, in the members only section)

Death certificates up to 1925

Marriage licenses up to 1925 (JCHS members may access an online index of marriages from 1841-1920, including names and dates, in the members only section)

Obituaries from local newspapers (JCHS members may access a partial online index of obituaries in the members only section, this collection continues to grow)
